Instructor Bio
A native of the Midwest, Suzzette has
also lived in the East and the Southwest. She currently lives in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
While living in the Southwest she developed a deep appreciation
for silver artwork and jewelry. Using traditional and non-traditional
metal working processes she currently creates her own silver jewelry,
frequently designing tribute pieces to the Southwest. She also designs
in glass, low-fire clay, wire, mixed metals and other media and
develops and teaches multi-media jewelry workshops.
Suzzette holds a BS in Education from Indiana University and a
Precious Metal Clay Guild Teaching Certification from Darway Design
Studios in Lambertville, New Jersey. She is a member of the PMC
Guild and the American Craft Council.
As an enthusiastic educator, participant and supporter of multiple
art forms, Suzzette has produced, developed special effects, and
designed state award-winning costumes for community theater. She
received the Columbus Indiana Mayor's Arts Award and has served
on various arts related advisory boards both in Indiana and New
York. |
